Staff Biography

Joyce Tseng, is currently studying Bachelor in Music at the world top College of Music, the Eastman School of Music, USA, majoring in viola. During her study in Eastman, she has awarded all the top scholarship owing to her excellent performance in academic study, awards such as: Eastman School Howard Hanson Scholarship, 2014-2018; and Music Scholar at Wellington College, UK, 2013-2014. 


Joyce has won numerous international music competitions. They are:  First Prize in 32nd Macao Young Musicians Competition:  String Concerto (Violin, Viola, Cello, Double Bass); First Prize in 32nd Macao Young Musicians Competition: Viola Solo (Advanced Level); Second Prize in 65th Hong Kong Schools Music Festival: Viola Solo (Senior); Third Prize in 30th Macao Young Musicians Competition: Viola, Cello, Double Bass Category (Advanced Level). Joyce has also attained Gu-zheng Diploma at the Central Conservatory of Music Diploma. 


Owing to her outstanding achievements, she was always invited as soloist to perform worldwide. She has been invited to play as a Soloist with the Macao Orchestra, China, Nov 2014; Concerts and Recitals at Eastman School of Music. Joyce also has rich experience in cooperation with orchestra.  She has played in numerous orchestra such as Wellington College Symphony Orchestra, Wellington College String Quartet, and Hong Kong Festival Orchestra
