To Ting On, Ronnie started playing flute at the age of 13 in Toronto, Canada. He studied with Prof. Kim Morris for 6 years before he receipted entrance scholarship to continue his pursue of music. He obtained bachelor degree with honours (BFA Music) in York University specializing in flute performance. He was also a winner of dean's prize at the faculty of Fine Arts. In 2004, he obtained his Grade 10 flute performance certificate with first class honours from The Royal Conservatory of Music of Canada, and LTCL (Recital) from Trinity London College. 
 
To was regularly honoured by chosen to publicly represent the Music Department, performing for the president of university, guests, delegates and even the Canadian Consul-General, Adrienne Clarkson. He was appointed the co-principal flute position in the York University Symphony Orchestra as well as the soloist for a flute concerto during the final year of his tenure. Since his bachelor years, To has studied with Ms. Margot Rydall, Peter LLoyd, Pierre-Yves Artaud, Sir James Galway, Bradley Garner, Dr. Lam Wing Cheong, and Ms. Megan Sterling. Alongside his primary classical traning, To also finds passion in jazz music under the tutorlages of Prof. Sundar Viswanathan and jazz master Theodore Suen. He is a member of the Mint Jazz Quintet whom has been invited recurrently by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department to perform at local town halls. 
 
In 2007, To completed a postgraduate diploma in education (PGDE English/Music) in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is since invited by numorous secondary schools to conduct flute ensembles. He has be been teaching flute and music theory for the pass 10 years.
