Kylie Ho began her piano studies at 4 with Miss Grace Yan. Kylie is currently studying bachelor degree BMus in Hong Kong Academy for performing Arts with renowned master Miss. Nancy Loo. Before entering HKAPA, She has already attained distinction result in performance Diplomas at London Trinity College of Music ATCL (Recital), Grade 8 theory from ABRSM and Music in HKDSE.
Ho has won numerous awards in international competitions. She won the Third prize in Schumann International Youth Piano Competition in 2005. At the age of 14, she studied with Mr. Peter Fan, the former keyboard principal of the Hong Kong Sinfonietta and won the Second class award in the 16th Hong Kong-Asia Piano Open Competition. Ho also got numerous prizes in piano solos in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, Hong Kong Youth Piano Competition and Western Music Instruments Competition.
Ho is an excellent accompanist. She has more than 11 years experience in accompanying choir. She is also an experienced ensemble performers. She is currently the member of Academy Jazz Ensemble in Hong Kong Academy for performing Arts under teaching by Timothy Wilson.
Ho is well-known for applying activity teachings to enhance students’ interest in music learning. With her approach, students are able to acquire all-rounded education in music theory, aural skills and music history. Her vision in education is letting students to enjoy the joy and satisfaction from music apart from achievement in examinations and competitions.
