Helen Tse began her flute playing at the age of 7 and participated in orchestra at 8. Helen is currently studying a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) in Music in the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She studies flute with Ms Izaskun Erdocia and attained Associate Diploma in Recital in Flute (ATCL) from the Trinity College of London. She was principal in flute and piccolo in orchestra. She is the principal flute of the Hong Kong Metropolitan Youth Orchestra and has given numerous performances in Hong Kong. She has also invited to be the guest player in Chordophonia String Orchestra in 2014.

 

Helen has studied with flute masters Ms Megan Sterling, Sir James Galway, Mr Trevor Wye and Mr Yu Wing Chun. Helen has played in various bands and ensembles, including the New Territories Youth Symphonic Band, Chung Chi Wind Orchestra and Gavotte Flute Ensemble. In 2015, Helen was selected to perform in the international flute masterclass of Mr. Trevor Wye in London.

 

Apart from a performer, she also has rich experience in music teaching, many of her students awarded outstanding results in public music examinations. Helen is also a flute instructor in several local and international schools in Hong Kong
