Francis NG, Tenor, graduated in The Chinese University of Hong Kong, majoring in vocal under the tutelage of Mr. Caleb Woo. He passed ATCL in singing with distinction in 2013 while studying vocal with Mr. Gerald Hon.

Passionate about singing, he has been joining SingFest since 2012 and is now a member of SingFest Choral Academy, which focuses on Bach’s vocal music in 2015. Besides, he is the part leader of tenors in Chung Chi Choir, CUHK. For his active participation in choral events, he worked with renowned conductors such as Helmuth Rilling, Rolf Beck, Lio Kuo-man, Yip Wing-sie and Patrick Chiu. In August 2015, Francis was selected to participate in the 2. Weimarer Bachkantaten-Academie, led by the venerable Maestro Helmuth Rilling alongside the chorusmaster Kathy Saltzman Romey, to perform 6 Bach Cantatas in a performing tour in Germany.   

His frequent appearances as chorister have also brought about him several invitations as guest singers, such as, for The Choir of St. John’s College (Cambridge), Die Konzertisten and Resonance Chanters. Other than choral singing, he has been concert soloists, performing especially Bach cantatas, and Handel’s Messiah in July 2015.

In recent years, He has attended master-classes of French songs, musical, lieder and oratorio, given by soprano Ms. Perrine Madoeuf, tenor Mr. Richard Resch, baritone Mr. Frans Huijts, conductor Mr. Patrick Chiu and Prof. Stephen Ng.

In 18th July 2015, his original musical “Reverie” was premiered in Academic Community Hall, HKBU.
