Staff Biography

Bingjie Zhou, Born in Fuzhou, China, Dr. Bingjie Zhou started her piano training at age of 4. With the highest grade among almost 3,000 students, she got admitted by Fujian Normal University College of Music in 2007, studying piano performance and pedagogy with Professor Yizhe Hong. After graduation, Bingjie earned her chance to pursue a master's degree with scholarship in the renowned University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music in 2011, studying with Professor James Tocco. After master’s degree, she successfully got admitted by CCM's Doctoral of Musical Arts degree program in 2013 and graduated in 2016.

 

    In addition to her own performance, Bingjie is also passionate about piano teaching. She chose Piano Pedagogy as her cognate major, studying with Dr. Michelle Conda, a renowned piano pedagogue. As a Graduate Assistant in Secondary Piano Department, Bingjie enjoys teaching different levels of students, both in group and privately. She is an official member of Music Teachers National Association in United States, being active in numerous conferences and events.
